D:ream

D:ream Bio

They are responsible for the classic dance hits “Ur The Best Thing”, “Unforgiven” and the seminal pop tune “Things Can Only Get Better”.

The band became famous when it consisted of Al Mackenzie, Cian McCarthy and the lead singer Peter Cunnah. Brian Cox, the famous physicist, performed with the band on keyboards for several years before achieving his PhD degree. The band eventually split, but a spontaneous encounter between Cunnah and Mackenzie in 2008 led to D:ream being reformed.

D:ream was formed in 1990 and released the classic dance tunes Ur The Best Thing, Unforgiven and the seminal pop tune Things Can Only Get Better showcased on their 1993 debut album D:ream On Vol. 1. The band went on to release two more albums such as World in 2005, and their latest production In Memory Of… in 2011.

Together with their latest album, the band has also released a brand new single since their split entitled All Things To All Men, released on Use Records in 2009.

They have also released several raving remixes including EMF’s They’re Here (featured on the first Renaissance mix CD), Duran Duran’s Drowning Man (John Digweed’s Journeys By DJs CD), Baby June’s Hey What’s Your Name and Debbie Harry’s Drowning Man. They have also remixed Alan Prosser, Reza, Andy Caldwell and Deep City Soul, and are working on remixes for Eric Ericksson, Michael Hooker and K-Klass.

Currently the band is in the studio working on the highly-anticipated fourth album promised to be released in early 2012.
