Jaba Bio

The singer, songwriter and instrumentalist best known for his work with dance music phenomenon Yves Larock.

Since his young age, his best grades at school were in music and singing… At the age of ten, he joined his very first steel-band. After a trip to Trinidad, where he was part of an 80-member Calypso band Casablanca in Port of Spain’s carnival, he created the Moonraisers Band.

Jaba has produced six Moonraisers album, few local bands, participated in more than a thousand live performances as a singer or/and musician in his so-far career. Since 2002 he has been working with Damp Music (also the label of Moonraisers), Reggaech, Music Circle and many more.

Jaba has also collaborated with the house DJ and producer Yves Larock on six house tracks for Yves Larock’s newest album. With the track Rise Up Jaba performed live in over 24 countries and the single climbed on radio top 10 charts in over 28 countries, and got over 24 million views on YouTube.

He is a man to follow, with forthcoming productions and collaborations, be sure to keep an eye on Jaba.
