Max C

Max C Bio

“The Voice” – best known for his work with dance music genius Axwell, will transcend you into mystical places with his smooth vocal styles ranging from gospel, soul and R&B to dance.

From the home of the “Louisville Slugger” and Mohammed Ali comes a singer/songwriter with high emotion and soulful vocal flavour. Charles E. Salter better known as Max C, hails from Louisville “Dirty South” Kentucky. Now based in Helsinki, Finland, Max C hit the house music scene in the early 90s.

He became the lead vocalist for the Scandinavian based group 3rd Nation which lead to the smash hit single I Believe with well known Swedish pioneer producer/DJ Stonebridge. This single landed in the American billboard hot 100 singles chart at #8 and made the top 10 list in many countries around the world.

In 2006 Max C hooked up with an up-and-coming Swedish DJ named Axwell (he was introduced to Axwell through mutual friend of Stonebridge’s) leading to Axwell sending a track for Max to write. The song became the smash hit single I Found U which blew up on Radio 1 in the UK and shot up the official UK top10 chart at #6 in 2007. From I Found U´s success, Max C was soon being called the new male voice of house music.

He has continued to remain busy the following years releasing tracks such as I Miss You featuring Brever & Bakchos, You’re The One featuring Phil England, Into The Night ft. Carl Kennedy, Nothing Really Matters ft K-System, and the latest In The Sunshine in cahoots with Disfunktion.

Max C’s four octave tenor vocal range blows away the producers he works with. Now fully in control of his destiny, Max is on his way to being one of the most sought after vocalist for hit labels and DJ/producers such as David Guetta, Axwell, Stonebridge, Laidback Luke, Chris Kaeser, Antoine Clamaran, Prok&Fitch, Nari&Milani, Connected, Hed Kandi and many many more…
