Bodyrox

Bodyrox Bio

Ivor Novello nominees Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges are two of the most talented and in-demand producers in the UK.

Having both enjoyed huge success as solo producers and through previous partnerships, it is now as Bodyrox where the pair are enjoying new-found success and attracting a new legion of fans.

Having produced one of the ‘biggest hits in electronic dance music’ (Pete Tong) in 2006 called Yeah Yeah, they took the WMC by storm picking up early support from Pete Tong, Fergie, Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley and Annie Mac on BBC Radio One and went on to ‘fill every record box under the sun’ (Pete Tong).

Supplemented by a unique vocal from Luciana, a killer remix package and a highly acclaimed controversial video, Yeah Yeah became the huge international club anthem which kick started the global Nu Rave phenomenon. On its official release in October 2006, the track debuted at #2 in the UK Top 40 and remained in the Top 10 for several weeks.

Riding on a massive wave of success, Bodyrox were nominated for an Ivor Novello – one of the music industry’s most prestigious awards, and went on to top both Music Week’s Cool Cuts and the DMC Buzz Chart again with their next three singles Sound of Eden, What Planet You On and Brave New World receiving recognition at the International Dance Music Awards and MTV’s Video Music Awards.

Receiving the tag a ‘Super group’ by Pete Tong during their debut on Radio One’s Essential Mix, Bodyrox are currently one of the top three most viewed ‘electro bands’ in the world with over one and a half million views on MySpace alone.

Jon Pearn first burst onto the scene with Michael Gray as Full Intention in 1994 with the pair’s remix of Duke’s So In Love With You, which rocketed into the Top 20 charts. Jon and Michael went on to become one of the most celebrated British remix duos in the world, putting their golden touch to tracks by Shena, Dajae, Dina Vass, Bob Sinclar, Jennifer Lopez, Frankie Knuckles and George Michael, for which the pair’s remix of Amazing earned them a prestigious Grammy nomination.

Nick Bridges’ background is no-less successful. As a technically-gifted DJ nominated in the International House Music Awards, Nick is widely regarded as one of the most talented young DJ’s in the world, with previous residencies at Fabric (London), Amnesia (Ibiza) and at Ministry of Sound (London) – a residency that saw Nick mix five compilations throughout a long-standing association with the brand that continues today.

Fast forward to 2008 and Nick is still at the top of his game with a number of his solo productions such as Spatulina collaborated with Daley Padley, and widely supported Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Dubfire, Mark Knight and many more.

The pair started producing together in 2004 and launched their own label Juki Records in 2005 with their won track Street Price and All You Got receiving unanimous support from the UK press and DJs around the world.

In between their hectic production commitments and solo DJ schedules, the pair are currently finishing their eagerly anticipated debut Album.
