Hardwell Bio

Hardwell: Does this dutch guy really need an introduction?

The young and up-and-coming Dutch producer Hardwell has already proven he has what it takes to raise the roofs with his unique creativity, passion and hard work. He first showed up on the scene when he teamed up with the talented Franky Rizardo in 2006 and produced the wonderful Soca Funk EP (Slized Recordings) including the tracks Slammin’ and The Mirror.

His next collaboration placed him on the map as he co-produced the world hit Guess What with the clever Chuckie in 2007, which became the most played underground house hit for years. In the same year he found time to collaborate with Greatski and release the single Never Knew Love on Novelle Recordings.

2008 brought the fabulous singles Yeh, Windmill and Subway all released on Slized Recordings produced by Hardwell himself, while shortly after he broke the sounds of house once again as he released his booming bootleg of Steve Angello & Laidback Luke’s (feat. Robin S) Show Me Love vs Be single. The remix received massive appreciation from the audience and fellow artists, and became the dance hit of 2009.

2008 saw him release another hit track Mrkrstft featuring Rehab and released once again on Slized Recordings. The track became a huge hype in the Netherlands and is part of almost all house compilation albums of 2008. If that was not enough, during 2008 Hardwell scored the #1 spot in the leading Dutch dance chart – dance-tunes.com.

Hardwell is a producer that never stops and in 2010 he released some breathtaking singles such as Alright 2010 featuring Red Carpet, Feel So High featuring I-Fan, Molotov, Voyage, Asteroid featuring Franky Rizardo and Get Down Girl featuring the fabulous Funkadelic. He teamed up again with Chuckie and produced Move It To The Drum creating another incredible tune that was once again well received by fans and artists.

Known for his exceptional remix skills, Hardwell has re-worked tracks for several top artists such as Fedde Le Grand, Armand Van Helden, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke, Funkerman, Bob Sinclair, Tiesto and many more to say the least. Tracks include Cre Sabe 2008 by Carlos Silva (feat. Nelson Frietas & Q-Plus), Remember by Funkerman (feat. I-Fan), Scared Of Me by Fedde Le Grand (feat. Mitch Crown) and the well-known Toys Are Nuts by Gregor Salto and Chuckie.

On top of all of this, his regular compilation albums Eclectic Beats on the Digidance imprint has become the best selling compilation for the last few years, in which ten editions have been released so far. Hardwell is known for his brilliant production skills, but he is equally known for his technical and creative DJ style, often shedding sound-breaking performances as he travels the globe.

2011 was no less productive as Hardwell continued to storm the dance charts releasing his hit single Encoded on Revealed Recordings; the track reached Top 20 on Beatport and gained support from major artists. He released another single on Revealed Recordings called Cobra, while the highlight of 2011 came when he released the single Zero 76 in collaboration with Tiesto that reached #1 on Beatport.

He also began presenting his own radio show Hardwell On Air that was broadcasted on Holland’s popular Slam FM station, and US’ Sirius XM. At the same time he started to organise his own event called Hardwell Presents Revealed which is to be launched across the world’s venues soon.

Hardwell is a producer and a DJ with passion, drive and creativity who always pushes the boundaries and never seizes to astonish his audience. With so much behind him, one can only dream of what is to come next.
